Chickpea Burgers

These burgers are quick and easy and are packed with fiber and protein.

Ingredients

  • 1 can garbanzo beans
  • 1/4 cup whole wheat bread crumbs
  • 1 cup chopped swiss chard
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients in food processor. You can adjust add bread crumbs or water to create a good consistency. Form into patties. Saute in a skillet with cooking spray or a small amount of olive oil until golden brown. Turning once.

Notes

Top with your favorites like hummus, tzatziki, salsa, lettuce and tomatoes
